A great headshot is simply not the result of a good photographer. It is the result of a successful collaboration between the subject,a stylist (if requested) and the photographer. Those being photographed should feel relaxed, not rushed. They should truly enjoy the shoot, allowing them to be themselves. The eyes should communicate warmth and a passion for life.

HOW IT WORKS

1. PLAN YOUR SESSION
After your session is scheduled, we discuss the types of looks you are going for, wardrobe, styling needs, etc.  The studio is conveniently located in the Back Bay area of Boston.

What to bring to the session:

GIRLS & WOMAN
5 or 6 different tops-solid colors, simple neckline. Shirts should be darker than your skin tone
colors that bring out your eyes
anything with texture (i.e. big comfy sweater)

BOYS & MEN
different shirts, solid colors, button down
layer (i.e. t-shirt, collared shirt with light fall jacket)
colors that bring out your eyes

AVOID
Baggy clothes, patterns, and anything too trendy that may be out of style within the next year.

2. STYLE
I have an exceptionally talented hair and make-up artist for you if you would like to use her.  Ann Marie, owner of Anemone Makeup, is one of the sweetest and most professional people I know.  She would be happy to work with you and make you look your best before your session.

3. SHOOT + REVIEW + SHOOT
We do some test shots first, reviewing the images in real-time on the computer.  This way we can see what is working and what isn't, such as clothing, lighting, angles, etc.  Once we are happy with everything, we shoot more and get those killer images.

4. VIEW YOUR IMAGES
Within 24 hours or sooner, your images are uploaded to a secure web page gallery for you to review. These files can be downloaded directly to your computer. It's a good idea to share these images with trusted friends and family and get their opinions.  Many times others who know us well can pick out really good images of ourselves better than we can.

5. CHOOSE YOUR IMAGE(S)
You let me know which image(s) you chose to be retouched simply by filling out a short form online.

6. RETOUCH YOUR IMAGE(S)
I retouch your image(s), making your headshots look the best they can, without looking retouched.  Everyone needs a little retouching.

7. DELIVER YOUR IMAGE(S)
Your high resolution retouched final image(s) is/are ready for download within 48 hours of receiving your choice(s).  These files are indeed ready-to-print.  I would be happy to refer you to a professional lab that specializes in commercial headshot printing.  We can also handle the printing for you.

8. ON YOUR WAY TO YOUR CAREER
You are now good to go!
